John McCormack gave to his son Duncan, that lot of land occupied now by John McMillan. Duncan married Catherine Cook 16th March 1852 and moved to California between 1861 - 1871.  Duncan & Catherine show up in the 1861 census as their own family.
Margery McCormack married John Broderick (from USA).
This census shows a Janet McBride/Servant/16/Scot/Domestic/Pres, living within this household. Probably Donald McCormack's future wife.
There was an Archie born Jan 1852 who died 31 May 1854.

Comments on this family:
Donald McCormack bought that piece of land from the river up to McNichol line from Solomon De Brisay in New Mills.  He later sold and moved to Belledune.  Donald married Janet McBride 23rd August 1864.  Donald & Janet show up in the 1871 - 1891 census' as their own family.

John never married and apparently moved to the United States

Comments on this family:
John McCormack gave to his son William, that land where John McNeil now lives.  William married Elizabeth McKenzie on the 16th November 1871, and subsequently moved to California.
Catherine, John's wife, died Nov 1875 at 67 years of age.
Suspect that Archie above was John's son.  FH indicates that there was an Archibald but he died young.  He doesn't show up in any subsequent census.
This is the last census for which John McCormack is the Head of this family.  In the next census, 1891, his son Charles is now the Head of the family.
